Octomom's House to be Foreclosed On

This whole thing has a sense of deviousness to it. One of the founders of Vivid entertainment, which has been trying to get Octomom to appear in its movies, is now going to hold the note on Octomom's house.

Octomom, can't make the mortgage payments on her house, but there's supposed to be "no pressure" from Vivid. Hmmm, something seems rotten in Denmark to me.

It looks like the play from Hirsch is going to be something like "work for me, either in my movies or in my business, and you'll get to live in your house." Otherwise, GTFO.

Se Murio El Gocho

"El Gocho" is the nickname that just about all Venezuelans referred to Carlos Andres Perez, aka CAP, as. El Gocho was a consummate and lifetime politician that had some great ideas that benefited Venezuelan society as a whole.

El Gocho died of a heart attack today in Miami, FL. Peace be with El Gocho and his loved ones.

The current president of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez, lead a failed coup attempt in 1992 against El Gocho. In the last 50 years, there has only been one traitor to the country and his name is Hugo Chavez.

How To Win A Negotiation

I always thought that "nickel and diming" meant something completely different. I've always understood it as the concept of charging small fees for things that should really be free, rather than as a negotiation ploy.

Internet Access In Venezuela To Be Censored

Hugo Chavez wins again. Only because he's cheating and has the cards stacked in his favor. In an effort to keep people from calling him an idiot, or stupid, or something else, El Chavo del 8 has passed a law making it illegal to "disrespect" public officials.

How do you disrespect a public official? Dunno, but I'm sure if you point out anything that he and his cronies don't like, that you're "disrespecting." By the way, the Venezuelan constitution "guarantees" free speech, so this new law, at the very least, is unconstitutional since it restricts speech.

Obviously, Chayvez lacks the mental capacity and the acumen to realize that he's attacking free speech, but he's never been a fan of free speech to begin with.

How do you define "disrespect" anyway?

As far as I can tell, the only person in Venezuela that "promote[s] hatred or create[s] anxiety in the citizenry or alter[s] public order" is Hugo Chavez himself.

When is he going to go back to jail for treason, among other things?

Hugo Chavez Loses Legal Battle

Now this is interesting. This is not a good thing for the people of Venezuela, but then again, neither is Hugo Chavez.

I can hear the rhetoric of his next speech already: 'the "empire" has stolen our assets in order to break us, but we will not stand down' and whatever.

What worries me the most, will be reprisals against both American interests, and the people of Venezuela. Hugo is not a mentally stable individual. I wouldn't put anything past him and his cronies.

On a side note, isn't it funny how the lawyers always get paid?

Twitter Analytics Now Available

Twitter announced today that the much awaited Twitter Analytics is now available to everyone not just beta testers. It'll be a paid add on feature. "Gots to get that paper boo."

That's good news for all the Twitter users that don't already get their stats elsewhere.

Chavez Gets Additional Powers

I really had no idea how stupid people could be. I had this mistaken notion that people wouldn't be this stupid, but I was mistaken.

I guess I should have remember my "Men In Black" where Agent K tells the soon to be Agent J something along the lines of:

A person is intelligent and reasonable, people are stupid

Chavez wants to institute a "new kind of democracy" in Venezuela. A kind of democracy that ignores checks and balances, that ignores congress, and that resides solely in his hands.

Do you know what that kind of "democracy" is called?

A dictatorship.

Julian Assange Is A Donkey

Read the following text at your own risk. It contains foul language etc. I'm a big fan of the Droid's.

Political topics are not the Droid's usual subject matter, but since Assange runs a website and is a little narcissistic prick, I can see why/ how the Droid decided to write about him.

When A Plane Flies Through A Google Map Picture...

This is a cool effect! It's somewhere around the Hyde Park area of Chicago. The plane flew through the frame of the Google map satellite picture and created this effect.

Chicken and Biscuits

At first, I thought this was a commercial for a car dealership. Turns out, it's a country music singer.

Excessive Celebration Video

I love the final frame of the video where it shows the score. On the other hand, the dude does have some dance moves.

Indian Ambassador Groped At Mississippi Airport

After she identified herself as an ambassador, she was pulled out of the security and groped, I mean frisked by a TSA employee. Apparently, the motivator was that she was wearing a sari, but that's speculation at this point.

I don't know the rules about diplomatic immunity and whatnot, but it seems to me like they should've just waved the ambassador through the line. Either that, or the ambassador should've chartered a plane.

Who voluntarily joins a botnet?

My question about this deal is who would voluntarily join a botnet to carry out attacks like this? I would. If I could trust the software and if I could isolate the botnet machine to its own network and not use the machine for anything other than that.

I think it's ludicrous that Visa and Mastercard have taken down Wikileaks ability to take payments but allow scammers and spammers to continue using their services with impunity.

The Body Farm

There's a 5 acre body farm outside San Marcos run by Texas State University. I've been wanting to go out there just to see what it's like, but I'm too chicken to actually go.

The research that they do out there is fascinating when you stop and think about it.

Spanish Alphabet Losing 2 Letters

I think that simplified spelling and grammar is a great thing. I can also see how some people could have a problem with accepting the edict of the Royal Spanish Academy.

What I can't stand, is seeing the illiterate, uneducated, demagogue Hugo Chavez being quoted, like he is some kind of mother truckin authority on the Spanish language.
